Bird's eye view from Lambeth
There was a great atmosphere at Lambeth Palace when leading representatives of a number of denominations and faiths met to consider issues of climate change.
The event, hosted by The Archbishop of Canterbury, brought together Ed Milliband the Minister for Climate Change, the Archbishop of Westminster and the Chief Rabbi with a number of other faith leaders together with representatives of faith-based and community organisations.
There were a number of presentations including one on Shrinking the Footprint with details of its local, national and international activities.
The meeting agreed a declaration which was presented to Ed Milliband. You can find full details at: http://archbishopofcanterbury.org/2589
The event was organised by Lambeth Palace in association with the British Council and the Dept of Energy and Climate Change whose website http://actonco2.direct.gov.uk/ will feature a filmed report of the event with interviews with many of those attending. A further event is to be help on 9 November at the Science Museum when faith leaders will be meeting climate scientists. This event will be shown live as a webcast being produced by the Science Museum so that you can watch and add your questions.
